The Friends of Point No Point Lighthouse
If you love Point No Point Lighthouse, lighthouses in general, or are interested in preserving an important part of our nation's history, then becoming a member of the Friends of Point No Point is for you!
The Friends of Point No Point is a non-profit chapter of the US Lighthouse Society, founded to assist Kitsap County in preserving the light station. All donations go toward various repair and maintenance projects at PNP, funding events to promote the work of our organization, and to educational materials/workshops to further educate the public about the importance of preserving the light station..
As a member of the Friends you may be interested in joining our "crew" of volunteer docents.
We provide all the necessary training and pair you up with experienced docents to get you started.
You are free to sign up for lighthouse "duty" as often or as little as your schedule allows.
Hours are from noon to 4pm, Saturdays or Sundays from April through September.
Docents are always on duty with at least one other docent - no one man's the lighthouse alone.
Membership in the Friends of Point No Point is required to become a docent.
If you are interested in becoming a member, please download the Membership Form and mail it with your donation to the address below. You will receive updates on events held at PNP, the Friends' quarterly newsletter -The Compass - and each year one name is drawn from our membership list to receive a voucher for ONE FREE NIGHT AT THE KEEPER'S QUARTERS!
Your donation to the Friends of Point No Point is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
(The FPNP and USLHS are both 501(c)3, nonprofit organizations)
